My approach during COVID19

Brief, Solution-Focused Therapy

We are in uncharted waters. In the midst of a global pandemic with the potential for innumerable deaths and an impending economic catastrophe, there is really no time for traditional psychotherapy. To that end, brief solution-focused therapy is clearly needed. If you are in crisis, isolated and gripped with anxiety, we will work together to address your concerns and come up with tools to strengthen your foundation and strategies to keep moving forward during these uncertain and fearful days. Whether it's 4 weeks or 4 months, we will get through this together!

My Credentials

As a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice since 2000, I have worked with patients across a broad range of the human experience. I practice from a psychodynamic/interpersonal approach but have learned over the last 20 years that a one-size-fits-all approach to people is far too narrow and limiting. I have evolved to a more eclectic approach and endeavor to find the best way to treat each individual that walks in the door, or shows up on a video chat.

I hold a B.A. from Virginia Tech (1992) and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology (2000).
